Community Development NGO

Community Development NGO wurde 1995 als Syunik Benevolent NGO gegründet, um die Bildungs-, Kultur- und Wirtschaftsprobleme des neuen unabhängigen Armeniens anzugehen. In den 29 Jahren ihrer Tätigkeit hat sich die NGO Community Development zur größten NRO im Süden Armeniens entwickelt und arbeitet mit lokalen, nationalen und internationalen Organisationen zusammen.

Von 1995 bis 2001 konzentrierte sich Community Development NGO auf wohltätige Arbeit wie die Bereitstellung von Kleidung und Medikamenten für bedürftige Familien, die Renovierung von Küchen und Häusern, Umweltprojekte sowie die psychologische, medizinische und freizeitbezogene Unterstützung von Waisen und Flüchtlingen.

In den Jahren 2001-2006 durchlief die Organisation eine Übergangsphase. Sie begann, mehr sozioökonomische und bildungsbezogene Projekte durchzuführen, wie z. B. die Einrichtung von Social Service Centers, die Durchführung von Schulungskursen und Jugendcamps, den Bau eines umfassenden Bewässerungssystems und die Einrichtung von landwirtschaftlichen Haushalten.

Seit 2006 führt die NGO Community Development mit ihren Gemeindezentren, landwirtschaftlichen Projekten, der grenzüberschreitenden Ausbildung von Ausbildern für Jugendliche, pädagogischen Sommercamps, Rechts- und Gesundheitsberatungsseminaren und internationalen Austauschmaßnahmen Projekte zur Entwicklung der Gemeinschaft in einer Vielzahl von Bereichen durch. Die NGO für kommunale Entwicklung war ein Pionier und eine Schlüsselfigur bei friedensschaffenden Maßnahmen in der Kaukasusregion und kann eine hervorragende Erfolgsbilanz vorweisen.

Community Development NGO was founded in 1995 as Syunik Benevolent NGO to address a newly independent Armenia's educational, cultural, and economic problems. Over its 29 years of operation, Community Development NGO has become the largest NGO in southern Armenia and cooperates with local, national, and international organizations.

From 1995-2001, Community Development NGO focused on charitable work including the provision of clothes and medicine to families in need, kitchen and home renovations, environmental projects, and providing psychological, medical, and recreational support for orphans and refugees.

In the 2001-2006 period, the organization underwent a transition phase. It began to implement more socio-economic and educational projects such as the establishment of Social Service Centers, the facilitation of training courses and youth camps, comprehensive irrigation system construction, and the establishment of farms’ households.

Since 2006, Community Development NGO has been implementing community development projects in a variety of sectors through its community centers, agricultural projects, cross-border youth training of trainers, educational summer camps, legal and health consultancy seminars, and international exchanges. Community Development NGO has been a pioneer and key in peace-building activities in the Caucasus region, maintaining an excellent track record of service.
