Network for Youth Activism of Montenegro (MOACG)

The mission of The Network for Youth Activism of Montenegro is to forge connections among youth activists, volunteers, and peer educators, empowering the position of young individuals and actively addressing societal issues that burden the youth.

The Network for Youth Activism of Montenegro operates with a multifaceted thematic focus, and its organizational structure is divided into three dedicated teams. The Culture and Non-formal Education team cultivates an environment for creative expression in multiple forms and continuous non-formal and formal learning, fostering a vibrant youth culture. The Human Rights Protection team is focused on protecting human rights, with a special focus on minority right and women’s rights, Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Science team is committed to protecting the environment, promoting green policy and promoting scientific engagement among the youth. Simultaneously, we place a strong emphasis on general societal improvement through initiatives and projects tackling youth employment, anti-corruption measures, and the promotion of open governance. With a strategic focus on youth participation, we are actively engaged in shaping and advocating for progressive reforms in youth and education policies. Withing our organization there are eight municipality teams functioning throughout the country.

Our youth organization is taking a multifaceted approach to fulfill its mission. Our main priority area is non-formal education, where we organize workshops, trainings, and seminars on a wide range of subjects. Complementing these endeavors are networking events and cultural activities, by which we foster a comprehensive approach to youth development. In the sphere of environmental protection, we conduct organized cleaning and planting actions to contribute to ecological sustainability. The organization ensures broad reach and engagement through visibility and promotional campaigns, both promoting our NGO and relevant topics.

Recognizing the pivotal role of youth in decision-making processes, we provide educational and exchange opportunities that we ensure by connecting with partners on the local, national and international level. Our commitment extends to active participation in policy and law formulation, manifesting through the drafting of proposals and initiatives.

In alignment with our advocacy for positive societal change, we sometimes partake in peaceful protests for human and youth rights, and we also partake in volunteer initiatives of other organizations, emphasizing the importance of youth presence in media and public discourse, as well as good relationships inside the civil sector. Our actions are focused not only on raising awareness, but also actively shaping a more inclusive and informed society.
